I am the Head of Professional Services at 2ndQuadrant.
I have been working with PostgreSQL for the last 10 years, and I live in London since about the same time.
My past experience includes other IT roles, as well as scientific research in Mathematics.
My first PostgreSQL event was the European PGDay 2008 in Prato, my home town. Since then, I attended the European PostgreSQL conference every year, and I have been a speaker in each edition since 2010.
This is an increasingly important topic for whoever works with data. Ignoring security is simply not an option nowadays.

In this training we carry out an overview of the various areas of PostgreSQL related to security, covering long-standing features as well as those introduced this month in PostgreSQL 10.
This short course is interesting for several categories of attendees, including those who already manage a production PostgreSQL instance, and those who are evaluating PostgreSQL for their future project.
No particular prerequisites are needed, although a basic familiarity with PostgreSQL surely helps.
